While hunting for the longest conceptual photo series ever, EAGER proudly announces the first exhibit of the provisional results at Kaunas Photo Festival, Lithuania. From September 6th to 8th 2012 a selection of the Follow the Red Line portraits will be shown. The project connects photographers worldwide by both a red line and their love-hate feeling towards making a self-portrait. Annie Lennox sang "it's a thin line between love and hate." Well, now we know it's red!
In the festival exhibition "About Photography" 10 self-portraits will be displayed. On two photography nights of the festival an elaborate selection of the results of the Follow the Red Line project will be projected as a call for action. In a special lab environment festival visitors will be inspired to create or bring their own contribution to the project, hence helping EAGER to reach the goal of 2012 self-portraits in 2012 from at least 100 countries. The creations made during the festival will be put on a wall and show you a growing red line of self-portraits!
We would like to make a call to all photographers around the globe to join in with our project en become part of the longest conceptual photo series ever made! May we welcome your contribution too?
