Last year the first edition of the Dutch Mercure Culture Award was organised. Our culture sector experiences a pretty difficult period and Mercure wants to stimulate this sector rather than cutting on expenses like our government does. And, creative as we are, we love that gesture!

Last year, the first price was won by designer ánd EAGER photographer Mieke Cuppen. She created an innovative design for a new table concept. At this moment she works on the production of her new design. Cool, isn't it? This year the award is focused on photography. Conceptual photography. As platform for inspiring photo series and conceptual photography we love that!

So, may we challenge you to invent a new concept for a photo series ánd presentation in which you will create an innovative experience for Mercure hotel guests? We think so?
